PRIVATE GUITAR LESSONS
- Learn sight reading, tablature, rhythms & strums, fretboard theory, song structures, fingerpicking, extended chord theory, harmony, inversions, scales, modes, lead playing, textures, soloing, music theory, time signatures, ergonomics, and proper hand technique. Beginners welcome!

- I believe learning the fundamentals and ideas behind WHY songs work will help you build a foundation. Learning from several angles early on is essential - patterns, a little theory, creative accidents -it all adds up to confident musicianship.
- I have an extensive library of educational resources and cross-reference from several books and study materials.
- We"ll aim toward any style(s) you are most interested in.
- I specialize in adults interested in learning an instrument for the first time. As a patient teacher, I will work with you at your speed to reach your goals.

- 85$ per 1 hour lesson
- 80$ per 1 lesson if you book 3- 5 classes in bulk!
- 65$ per 45 min
- Kids (10-16): 40$ per 1/2 hour lesson (when available)
- Flexibility in booking: we'll work with your/their schedule. Some students book every week, every two weeks, or just randomly. Your goals are uniquely yours.
- Lessons through Zoom (or in person in Los Angeles, if available)

- I am an Adjunct Professor of Music History at Brooklyn College, CUNY, NYC. I have also taught popular music history courses at the University of California Santa Barbara, Montclair University, NJ, and New York University, NYC.
EDUCATOR BIO
- Sara is an award-winning educator with an MFA in Sonic Arts and Ph.D. studies in progress, bringing almost two decades of expertise in guitar instruction, performance studies, and ensemble leadership to popular music education. She is experienced in studio supervision, curriculum development, course design for graduate and undergraduate students, and integrating contemporary styles into teaching methodologies.
- ACTIVISM: Won the 2015 Girls Rock Camp Teaching Excellence and Activist Award for ten years of service. Founded, built, and facilitated Sara Landeau Studios in Brooklyn, Ny (2005-2019), with the mission to aid women and girls in guitar, drums, bass, and band lessons. Taught thousands of girls and women, with at least 10,000 hours of classroom time.
